Drawing

I made a raft draft many years ago.

Does it bring any associations to you if you have a look at it?
Would anyone try to guess what made me draw it?
Do you have any ideas how I felt or what I was thinking?

I am not so sure I know it myself and I’d be delighted to hear some opinions. There must be some reason for keeping that peace of old paper for so many years.

It looks nice but I can't suggest your mood when making it... My guess is you were a bit bored and you started working on it. Is this Ajdovščina, your home town? We had to do sth. similar during our arts classes at primary school - draw our town or street. I usually simply followed teacher's instructions without putting too much of myself into my work...

I remember going through a bad period of time - troubles all around me – no matter how hard I tried to avoid or to solve them (bad weather over that town).
Maybe I felt the need of running away. It seems I took a look down from a distance (like if I had climbed up the nearest hill) – to look beyond the problems in order to find the way out…
When it comes to a problem, there are more or less only 2 possibilities (2 roads that could take me out of that town) - you can either take a decision or not… and those are 2 different directions from some place (situation in your life).

Yes, I used to live in Ajdovščina when I drew that draft… but Ajdovščina is an old town – I drew a new one (it was new to me as I had come there some years before that). I remember that I just took a pencil and began drawing on that paper to do something creative not to lose my sense or just cry. I liked that town and I wanted to stay… but it was just time to go.

We can hear older people say: “Življenje vse prinese in marsikaj odnese.” Things come and things go… life is so unpredictable. Good things may turn out to be bad or the other way around… Let’s go on :).

Oh, please, DO share your opinion with me. Would you, please, please, PLEASE… write / tell me (even in Slovene), what you think about that particular draft / the impression it gives to you… It would mean so much to me!!!

Please, don’t be afraid to give me some new ideas – I would love to hear them!

I don’t know “everything” – I was just guessing about possible meanings… I don’t remember and I don’t understand… I needed to draw something at that time… and I did it without thinking about the reasons / possible aims… I usually find some other way to express me… but I took a pencil and a piece of paper that day and draw that unusual, but kind of special draft… and I still wonder why…

Thank you for helping me :)
